Like many in a fitness and nutrition role I have my professional and personal stories.
Professionally I am a Registered Nutritional Therapist (MBANT, CNHC, DipION), specialising in performance nutrition and weight management. I am also L3 Personal Trainer.
My personal story is a little bit more interesting. In my early 20s I lost 25kg through clearing up my diet and a growing love of running, a love that found me with a 2017 London Marathon place. Training was halted by an extreme lack of energy and a consequential 3 months in bed and a slowly diagnosed iron deficiency and resultant chronic fatigue.
In a supermarket one night I picked up a cold pressed green juice and on drinking it felt invincible with the most energy I'd had in weeks. I was amazed that a food fix could work when at this stage modern medicine had not.
I have since been able to run 2 marathons, a handful of half's and maintain a regular training plan.
