Nutritional Therapy is a personal approach to nutrition. One size simply does not fit all. Whether you are an athlete striving for a personal best, looking to gain control over what you are eating and love the body you have or are fed up of energy crashes in the middle of the day and are looking for balance. Your nutrition requirements are going to be completely individual.

Have you ever been for a run the day after a big greasy burger and chips followed by a whole tub of ice cream and wondered why it felt like such hard work and why your pace was a little bit slow?


This is just the tip of the performance nutrition iceberg. Performance nutrition is about more than just eating healthily to fuel your performance.


Yes it will help to clear up your diet and teach you how to fuel for upcoming events but it also seeks to reduce your recovery window, prevent injury, and maximising your immunity. Performance nutrition is about making every day a good training day.

Abi Bates Training and Nutrition wants to help you build a healthy relationship with food and love the body that you have. Its ok if you would like to be a little bit smaller or a little bit bigger - the goal is yours, I'll just work with you to help you to achieve it.

Restriction and labelling foods 'naughty' or 'bad' is over-rated. If chocolate is something you love and can't imagine living without let's find a way to keep it in your diet. Maybe that's a fun size packet of chocolate buttons rather than a share size bag?
